From WSJ.com:
Karl Rove, President Bush’s longtime political adviser, is resigning as White House deputy chief of staff effective Aug. 31, and returning to Texas, marking a turning point for the Bush presidency.
I could smell this coming. Not really a big surprise. I think Rove would find it quite difficult to be in the transition team when the White House is handed over to Democrats.
Or is this happening because he will become easily pardonable in a civilian role? Hmmm… Remember, everything is about politics with this administration. There is no such thing as wanting to spend more time with the family. So what’s the reason?

I don’t know what it is but I hope it involves a jury of his peers. Christmas maybe? I can wait…
